Hi, I'm Ted from Everything Attachments, and we're here today with the Danuser brand of PTO-driven three-point hitch augers.
This unit here will do the Category 1 or the Category 2. It's the model 2080. This uses the same size gear box as the smaller one that will only go Category 1, but this unit will turn up to a 24-inch auger. What we've added is the Danuser brand of bit is a good, heavy-duty bit. It's one of the heaviest bits for an agriculture use. It uses a casted head on the bottom, heavy quarter-inch flighting. Their augers are only 40 inches high, which a lot of them are 48. A lot of times rarely are you digging a four foot deep hole. This is a 40-inch auger, and it has a 7-inch extension on it.
Danuser is really a lot about safety, and safety is a big, important part with type of PTO-driven auger drive system. The last thing you want to do is be close to this auger while it's in use. In fact, you should be 25 feet away except for the operator. With the way they've added this extension, they've done the best job of anybody I've seen to make a collar up here that will completely enclose the bolts that would be on here holding the auger on. If you add the extension, it even has a collar here that goes down over where the bolt is so a piece of string or something that might be nearby that you could back into wouldn't get wrapped around it. Hopefully it wouldn't be you that would be anywhere near this.
This will turn up to a 24-inch auger. They come from 4 inches to 24 inches in 2-inch increments. Their drive shaft is specially made to really cover this joint up here real good where you don't have any exposed bolts. You can change the sheer bolt through this hole right here without having to remove any of the shielding.
On this hoop right here, which goes to your main boom, the pins in it are reversible. Right now it has the 7/8ths size pin sticking out, and that's what this Bobcat CT450 is. It's a Category 1. You simply remove this one pin, put the pin in the other direction, and that would give you your 1-
1/8th inch pin for Category 2. The hole in the end of this has a joint like the end of your pull bars have here that will let it swivel. When you're on a hill you can adjust your side length to make it straight. It also comes with a sleeve to make it Category 1 or Category 2.
When you're talking about PTO-driven post hole diggers, pretty much if you say, "Who makes the best one?" It's Danuser. They've been around since 1910, and they do have the best reputation in the complete market for post hole drillers and augers. That's who we've chosen to be our premier line of augers, and they make one that goes all the way up to 36 inches. They're one of the few. This one does have a 2-inch output shaft. Their bigger units have a 2-9/16ths, and you won't find that very often in this industry. When you go up to 36 inches, that's what it takes.
Danuser has been around a long time. We're glad to have them on board, and we look forward to selling a lot of them. We'll be showing this in the field soon so you'll get some "How To Use" videos out of this.
If you've got any questions or emails that you would like to ask us at Everything Attachments on which unit is the right one for your tractor, because they do also make one that has an end on it that's bent down a little bit, which will let it work on a compact tractor better and let it lift higher. We've done two things here, if we crank this up and raise it to the top we can gain about an extra 10 inches, and that's with this extension. This tractor has plenty of room to lift it up out of the ground.
There's a lot of things between the extensions, picking the right hoop, picking the right unit, picking the right size auger for what you're doing that we can help you do it at Everything Attachments. Just give us a call or an email.
