Hi. I'm Ted, with Everything Attachments. We're here today with the King Kutter brand of rotary tiller. This is their heaviest series that they offer; this is the 84-inch. It comes in a Category 1 or 2. It has both stages here, for the Category 1 and the Category 2. They do that with one pin because it has two different stages; that's either a 7/8 pin or 1-1/8 inch pin; that's the difference between Category 1 and Category 2.
It also will accept a quick hitch. It also has a top link pin that has both stages on it too; Category 1 or Category 2. You can use it with any size tractor, basically. It will take about 50-horsepower+ to pull a tiller of this width; 84 inches. It comes with a Eurocardan PTO shaft, which is one of the better-quality shafts. It has 6 blades per rotor, a heavy torque tube in here. It has a really thick blade from front-to-back, giving you a lot of wear room. It has a really heavy gearbox on it. We're going to flip it around.
On the 84-inch, you'll see they've added some extra plating here, some extra shielding on the back. This tube here connects to the end of the gearbox to control the flex, and is welded over here to this side. It has a kickstand here to keep this rotor from falling over on you while you're trying to hook it up. It has a really heavy-casted pieced here that is greasable, where your bearings run in here for your main rotor shaft. It has 4 different adjustment holes here for your slide, to give you different depths of tilling. This kickstand simply folds out, comes back, and goes back into this spot here.
It has a really heavy frame, front and back; has a tubular frame all the way around this, making this a good rigid piece. This is a really heavy-
duty unit that King Kutter has here. It has an adjustable chain for your tailgate. Your tailgate setting and the speed of your tractor is what's going to change the consistency of the dirt coming out the back. You don't want to get it too fine or it will get hard after it rains. You want to just get it nice, where you can work it to plant with, but without getting it too fine.
This has the heavy-duty casted gearbox on it. It has the vent at the top. Your fill-check plug is here. You'll remove that plug and fill it until your oil runs out. Just make sure that you do have oil in both gear boxes before you run it; make sure you check it. This is a gear-driven tiller. It has 1 large gear in the center, 2 smaller gears on each end, and that gives you your complete drive with the right RPMs for your rotor assembly.
When you're choosing your tiller, and you're wondering about the right width for the horsepower of tractor you have, or if you have a Category 1 or 2 lift on your tractor, just give us a call or email at Everything Attachments. We'll make sure that you get the right size tiller for your tractor.
