[inaudible: 00:04] this Standard Universal SkidSteer-style quick-attach, 36" FFC Tree Spade. Now we got it hooked. I usually shake it just a little bit to make sure it's in good position. Shut the machine back off before getting out and putting down your safety lock levers.
This is a 36" FFC tree spade, what we use to dig small shrubs, small trees. We're here in front of this palm tree, we live in North Carolina; I have 58 palm trees here. For whatever reason, this one didn't make it through the winter and we're going to do our best at doing some spading around this tree before we try to remove it. We just want to get the tip right down in the ground, get a little angle on it where you can use the hydraulics and the force of the machine to push it into what you're trying to dig; holds it right down in. It probably would come out of the ground right now but we're going to do one more, just like that, around the other side. We're just going to push it right down in the ground and drive a little bit forwards as we go using the power of the machine, traction, and the hydraulics to dig this. This tree's been in here about 4 years, so it's got a lot of roots. I'm going to use one more tree spade on the far side. We're going to make our final cut here and see if we can remove this tree. This is a fairly small SkidSteer for this type of work.
I'm here to show you some of the benefits of the FFC Tree Spade. It comes in 5 different sizes, this is a 36". It also comes all the way up to 48". For the durability, this is 3/8 T1 steel that has been rolled instead of broke into different shapes without having the smooth edge. It has the open back. Because they use a high grade of steel, they're able to not use a solid back for strength; they're able to cut part of it out, giving you a lot more visibility to be able to get into your small bushes, trees or whatever it is you're digging. You've got an open area back here that's going to be absolutely essential to see what you're doing from the other side. Has a lot of gusseting on the sides here, for strength. A lot of them don't have anything but just a rolled sheet on a flat plate. I'm going to take this off and show you the other bracing and features from the other side.
Because this is a tree spade and you're going to be doing extremely heavy-duty work with it, this is 3/8 steel. You could put this on 100-horsepower track machine and really remove some large trees, especially with the 5 sizes available up to 48". They've added extra gusseting here to give you the strength to be able to curl your bucket up without tearing off your top lip. They've also added a solid bar under your hitch, because this is going to take a lot of pressure to pry some of these larger trees out of the ground and shrubs with all the roots. It also has gusseting over here at the top and under here at the bottom.
It is proudly made in the United States. All this is made of T1 steel and this is the best tree spade out of all that I've seen, which are mostly 1/4 " steel instead of 3/8, and a mild steel instead of T1.

Hi, I'm Ted from Everything Attachments, and we're here today with the FFC brand of tree spade. This is a manual-style tree spade, where you will use your skid steer to shove it into the ground several times around a large tree to be able to get your complete root loose.
Now this is made of 3/8ths plate steel and then sharpened. That's a very high-quality piece of plate steel, like an AR 520 plate. You've got two foot rests here to be able to get in. This is braced at several places for strength, because you've going to use all the capacity of your machine to shove this big one in the ground. Comes in a 48 inch, a 42 and a 36. This is the 48. Has the open back and the underneath, so you're able to see what you're doing from your machine.
We've sold these even, some of the cities and municipalities are using these to clean out the dirt and sand that are in the large culvert pipes, so they have multiple uses. Of course, they're meant for trees and you could clean out a large round pipe or drainage ditch if you needed to with one of these. If you have questions, give us a call or an email at Everything Attachments. We'll help size these for your machine and give you our best recommendation. All we need is the model of the machine you'll be using it with.
