Hi, I'm Ted from Everything Attachments, and we're here today with the Bradco brand of rock bucket. This is a unique bucket because it uses round bars instead of flat bars to do the sifting through the rocks. This particular bar is an inch and sixteenth of an inch in diameter. It's a very hard alloy that's been hardened. As far as rock buckets go, if you want the best one, it's going to have to be made with the round bar, and I'll explain why.
They use a super quality alloy and a heating process on this bar to be able to withstand that extra six or eight inches that has no support at the end of the bar. It's very rare that I get somebody that's damaged one of these with a big track machine because of the quality of these bars.
Because the main difference between a round bar and a flat bar, when you're talking about a skeleton bucket, when you have flat bars, they're usually thick from the top to the bottom and it's really difficult to keep them perfectly straight and without any variations in how thick the groove is. So when you have two round bars, there's only one spot that's the thinnest. And that's right in between the center of the two bars. So what will fall through falls through, and what won't stays on top.
The disadvantage of a flat bar bucket, if it varies any, or if the rock twists while it's falling through, it can get caught and you're going to end up needing a steel bar or something to beat the rocks out of it. So this is the best rock bucket. It also comes with an optional grapple to hold your trash in, like cleaning up after a Harley rake or something.
So if you want the best rock bucket, it's this round bar style, and Bradco's the one that has it. Everything Attachments will be happy to help you size this bucket for your machine. Even though it looks fairly light because it has a lot of air space, these are still very heavy buckets because just remember, this is over an inch in thickness and would spread a long way if it was just a sheet of style. But this type of rock bucket has the most places.
All of this is fully clear to let it fall through. There's only one bar that runs through the center there for support of all of this. It's the only place that rocks can't fall through and they'll just fall around that round bar.
But this is the best rock bucket. Give us a call at Everything Attachments. We'll make sure you get the right size for your unit. It comes in a 66, 75, and an 84 in the three inch spacing. And comes in a 66 and a 75 in the two inch spacing. And the reason they don't do the 84 inch in a two inch, it just gets so heavy, but as the track machines have gotten larger, I think you will see an 84 inch come out soon.
