Hi, I'm Ted from Everything Attachments, and we're here today with the wicked stump grapple.
This bucket comes with or without the grapple and uses a true cutting edge here along the side, which not any other manufacturer that I know does. And then laser cuts the shark hooks in here, makes it really sharp, so when you shove it into the ground, you're able to pierce all those roots as you come in and out and use it kind of like a saw.
If it's a really big stump, you may have to do it in a couple of places, but that grapple really helps get over the edge of the stump and tilt it back to where you can get it rocking and get it out of the ground.
Believe it or not, but the smaller the machine, the more important the grapple is, instead of having to use the power for just the bucket. So the grapple really helps on any machine, but you almost have to have it if you have a smaller-tired machine.
This bucket's made out of all AR572 steel. There's no mild steel in it, so this bucket is a severe extreme duty. We make two kinds of buckets with construction attachments, severe duty and severe extreme duty. This bucket, because you're trying to get stumps out of the ground, you're going to really use it to the ultimate capacity of your machine, no matter what. So it only comes in one grade, and that's the severe extreme.
It has a lot of bracing underneath the bottom of it. Raise it all the way up, Peanut, and let's look up under the bottom of this bucket. Come on around here. So this bucket is fully, this is a true cutting edge, it's three quarters of an inch thick. And then it has three bars that run the full length of the bucket, from the cutting edge, all the way back to the hitch plate. The hitch plate is where all the load is going to be pushing these front, big teeth into the ground.
So bring it back down...
This grapple that we use is the largest cylinder we have in the house that goes on our big 4-i-1 bucket cylinders for back hoes and wheel loaders. It's fully protected on the rod because it's solid underneath here. It has a large tube welded from side to side for the support of this cylinder. It's three quarter inch steel on this complete grapple. It has an extra high area here for the bucket to give the maximum amount of gripping force, when you're trying to do the most severe job of all, which is remove a stump. The teeth are replaceable on this unit with those large shanks.
I've seen a lot of different stump buckets on the Internet, and of all the buckets that I've seen, there's no other bucket that comes closer to the heavy dutyness of this bucket. We're proud to see this at Everything Attachments. We'll be happy to have you size whatever you need for your machine. Give us a call or an e-mail, and we'll make sure that you get the right piece for your machine.

I'm Corey Sheets. I'm an engineer at Construction Attachments. We're here today with a new stump grapple that we've introduced. I want to look at a couple of the features before we get started and demonstrate it here today.
One of the key points of this attachment versus what's on the market is the 10-65 high carbon steel cutting edge material. These are beveled cutting edges, just like you'd find on the front of a bucket. Of course, we've got the three quarter by six edge in the front here, but the side cutters are also of cutting edge material, which is not really common for this kind of product.
Having it beveled, having the high carbon steel with these CNC teeth cut in it will allow you to actually cut some of the roots. A lot of the stump buckets that you may see with the half-inch wide hot rolled steel teeth are going to have difficulty driving under the roots and actually cutting as they go through. Now, these will get a bite as you come out, but having a beveled tooth and the high carbon steel should allow it to cut better.
Just a couple other things before we get started. We've moved the cylinder on this unit to give it enough angle so we can maximize the amount of force on our grapple arm. In doing that, of course, we put a lot of load into the hitch plate. This is one thing that I don't think you'll find on another stump bucket. We have a 3/8 broken out load transfer plate that we called. It ties all of your lid hinges as well as your cylinder mount down to the center of the hitch where you've got the most strength anyway.
I think we're going to do a little cut here. You can see now with it wide open. We've got a 55-inch opening from the teeth to the front cutting edge. Even on the smaller machines, the rubber tire machines that may not have enough traction to drive under and pop the stumps out as easily, we've got enough opening here that one, you can get around a big stump, and two, if you get more bite than you can handle with your machine, it'll pop wide open to allow you to release that a little easier.
Come on in, Kevin. We got it out of the ground a lot better than anything but a big excavator.
We're going to flip both the levers down. On this Caterpillar, it's got a pretty neat thing here to hook your hoses into. I really like that.
All right. So, that's got both your pressure and return lines hooked up. Then, we're going to go out here and do a short video and show you how to pull up some stumps of small trees.
Well, we picked a big stump, probably one that was a little bit too big. This is a two-headed stump here, probably comes out about as easy as one three times this big. We've got a stump here that ended up weighing more than our machine, but it beat calling out a $200,000 excavator that would've cost you $500 to rent for the day. But it's out. That saved you the $500 rental or the guy to come out and do it with a big excavator. Anything smaller than this is certainly going to come out of the ground a lot easier.
