The Fred Cain 7 Shank 3 Point Field Cultivator, Ripper, Tillage Tool

The Fred Cain 3 Point Field Cultivator, Ripper, Tillage Tool. Chisel Plow, Bermuda Grass Plow, or Field Plow, is a good attachment to break new ground or to tear up the hard pan in the field. The main beams have 1 inch spacing to easily adjust the shank width. The 2 x 2 inch high carbon heat treated angles help control twisting or bending of the shanks if they hit an obstruction in the field. The shank movement is controlled by double springs, that let them kick up. The standard ground engaging points are reversible for longer use. The 5-11 Shank models are for standard Category 1, 3 point hitch.

Excellent attachment and the dealer was great September 23, 2018
Reviewer: Eric Kletrovetz from Sunbury, OH United States
This attachment is just what we were looking for.  Breaks up heavy clay ground like a champ.  So much easier  than plowing and then cutting down with a disc.  We are using this in a food plot application.  Ground speed is good to have with this attachment.  With hills to climb you will need 8-9 hp per shank. Flat ground 5-6 hp per shank.  The springs really help when you hit hard stuff.  Ripper does not perform well if turf grasses exist in your field.  Best to spray prior or will get caught up in shanks.  Works so well for us we are considering another one.

Awesome Ripper May 17, 2018
Reviewer: David Brill from Fort Ripley, MN United States
The Fred Cain ripper is very well built and is standing up to my heavy / rocky upper Midwest soil. I would highly recommend this ripper to others. I’m pulling my 7 shank ripper with ease using my NH Work Master 60, I wish I would have bought the 9 shank however I went with the advertized recommended sizing chart. Everything attachments is also a wonderful group to buy from and work with.

FC 7 Shank Ripper June 8, 2017
Reviewer: Michael Light from Bath, PA United States
I recently purchased the Fred Cain 7 shank ripper.  What a good ripper! It tore up the field with ease. I have an old spring cultivator that I was using, but no more!  In one pass the ground was turned over.  I used a drag chain harrow behind it to help smooth things, but it works great and it saved me lots of time. I highly recommend this product.
