Bale Unroller Pro & Cons |

Here are the pros and cons that I have seen using the 4-6 bale Unroller daily for the past 3 months.
Pros:
1. Heavy Duty Construction.
2. Comes complete with hydraulic cylinder, hoses and nipples.
3. Easily hooks to Cat I or II hitches and is easy to take off and on.
Cons:
1. If using on 4x5 or 4x6 bales it does not close tight enough and allows the bales to slide down when lifted or transported.
2. The adjustable spikes don't line up straight making some bales hard to unroll.
Fixes:
I made new control arms(plates) made that were 1" shorter than the originals. This allowed the spike close further and prevents the bale from slipping while hauling. It also sill opens far enough to pick up a larger 5x6 or 6x4 bale with no problems.
Second; I drilled a new hole in the spike pad to make the spikes straighter on the smaller bales.
I looked at several different models at my local AG stores and online. For the money, I don't think you can go wrong.
