Southern Plug Type Lawn Core Aerator

These Pluggers are three point hitch mounted and work great with compact tractors. They have removable spoons, and are water fillable to add weight and increase lawn penetration. They also have kickstands, and top box frames.

Here at Everything Attachments, we really loved the unique combination of features we found in the foot Southern Plug Type Aerators. These tractor 3 point hitch yard aerators are water fillable, offer replaceable spoons, have box frames on top to accommodate additional weight, and have half moon welds on the spoon brackets to allow water to escape and prevent your lawn aerator from rusting into an early retirement.

5 of 5 Nice work - 4 ft Southern Plugger November 15, 2020

Used plugger a few times with good success.  Heavy duty.  Good weight with water and blocks on top - good penetration.  More spoons than advertised.  Can't turn much without tearing up grass, so be careful.  One of the supports was bent during shipping, but still works, so no big deal.  My second purchase through EA, both are solid pieces of equipment.  Nice work.

5 of 5 4 Ft. Southern Plug Type Aerator 3 pt. hitch October 20, 2020

I am extremely pleased with the aerator overall. First impressions were that this is a heavy duty piece of equipment. The one I got was actually made by another company and not EA but that was OK. The color that I got was one with gold or Cat. yellow with a black drum. (Kind of reminded me of New Orleans Saints) Does not come with top link pin. There are actually 2 holes in the top link bracket at different heights. The spoons are replaceable and seem to be very durable. There are 2 extendable kick stands (one on each side). I like the weight rack on top, I added concrete block on mine. (fit right in) I didn't add water to mine but that option is there if you need it. So far I have about 5 hours on mine and I have no complaints. The only con is that when I got it the axle was not completely centered, I had to loosen the Allan head set screws and tap it through slightly. (no big deal)
Big thanks to Jeremy for being so helpful in answering my question during ordering.

Well built & heavy duty. Had even more plugs than what was advertised so I was pleasantly surprised. Probably want to use nylon nuts on bolts holding on the spoons as I lost a few on my first run.

when to use it and the axle almost came out all the way out set keys where lose  EA Response:  Those are tightened during assembly, but the guys could've missed it.  Vibration during transport can also play into it, although it's unlikely to loosen a bolt/keeper if it were properly tightened to begin with.  It's always best to go over and check the tightness of everything prior to use.  Thanks for the business.  We hope the plugger's performance more than makes up for the lost stars!
