The biggest reason to choose the GB70 over our GB50 or GB60 models is its additional working width. The 69" toolbar allows bedding disc spacing to be adjusted from 6" to 65", providing more room for wider raised beds and tractors with a wider stance. The longer toolbar also allows the Deluxe C-tines and sweeps to be positioned farther outward to reach tire tracks on wider tractors.
Another advantage of the GB70 is the ability to add a second set of bedding disc assemblies to create two raised planting rows during the same pass. Additional disc assemblies can be selected through the product options below and are not included in the standard configuration. The available toolbar space and disc positioning determine the row widths and spacing achievable with a two-row setup.
As your tractor travels through previously tilled soil, its tires can compact the ground you just worked. The Deluxe model's adjustable C-tines and sweeps follow those tire tracks, loosening compacted soil and working it back toward the surface. Our custom L-shaped sweep stems are manufactured in-house with dimple-pressed mounting ends that bite into the C-tine holders when tightened, helping prevent unwanted rotation and shifting during operation.
The GB70 Deluxe features a heavy-duty 3/8" thick A572 Grade 50 steel toolbar with our redesigned integrated stem-mounting system. Instead of using separate welded-on mounting plates and two U-bolts per stem, the upper and lower stem contact points are built directly into the bar. These wider-spaced mounting points provide improved support against twisting and movement while requiring only a single U-bolt to secure each adjustable stem.
A fully welded 3/8" Grade 50 steel Category 1 clevis hitch provides compatibility with standard 3-point hitches, quick hitches, and John Deere iMatch systems. Choose standard 14" or optional 16" heat-treated bedding discs with sealed roller bearings that require no routine greasing. An optional center furrowing attachment with shovel point is also available for creating a planting trough down the center of a raised bed.
