Non-standard 3-point hitch, leaky hydraulics Monday, March 29, 2021 Reviewer: Matthew N. from TN United States   The mounting information says it works with "any 3-point hitch, with or without Quick-Tach". However, I found this not to be true. When I emailed about my quick hitch not connecting due to the mounting legs of the 3-point adapter on the post driver being in the way, I was told that the post driver was not quick-hitch compatible. Also, the 3-point mounting plate sold through EA is not the same one manufactured by Shaver. The distributor makes their own, for some reason. Finally, the top cap of the hydraulic cylinder leaks to the point to where there's almost a constant drip. Overall, I was missing hardware, have leaking hydraulics, and a 3 point mounting plate that isn't quick hitch compatible. The unit drives posts just fine, but for the money, I expected more. Love the machine but the assembly was horrible. Tuesday, May 8, 2018 Reviewer: Randy Grimes from Live Oak, FL United States   I am rating the machine, not the assembly.  Assembly was much more painful than I could have imagined but the pain is over now, and driving posts with this machine is a dream.   Unfortunately the Shaver manual written text and photo documentation was inadequate in several areas, 1. How and where to mount the hydraulic control valve. 2. How to mount the swing arm assembly 3. My driver seemed to have an updated mounting system that was not reflected in the manual 4. The absolute worst part was Item 6 under the section titled "Hydraulic valve and hose installation",  which could not be found anywhere in the manual or the internet. An e-mail to Shaver requesting assistance went unanswered.   Shaver really needs to include this spread sheet in the manual or add the spreadsheet to each shipment at a minimum.   Was this review helpful to you?

Post Pounder Friday, July 7, 2017 Reviewer: Larry Johns from Drain, OR United States   I purchased a Shaver hd-10 post pounder from Everything attachments. The ordering was quick, shipping went well across the USA, which is really quite amazing as the two boxes were strapped to a pallet AND strapped to the 8' long 700lbs pounder assembly with one metal band strap. A few rubs and scratches but no damage to the machine. Was this review helpful to you?
