Hi, I'm Ted from Everything Attachments and we're here to show you the Cultipacker. This comes in 5, 6, 7, and 8 foot. It comes with a smooth or one that looks similar to this in the center and then has sprockets on the side of it to really break up clods and so forth. It comes with stands because when you're trying to hook this up, basically it's on a wheeled axle and it's going to try to fall over. So if you're having to hook it up by yourself, these stands are going to make it really convenient to hook up. We're going to raise these all the way to the top pin here before we use it. This is a garden that we've just tilled and everything.
This is not normally where you would use a Cultipacker. Right after you plowed a field and you just wanted to bust the clods up for winter you'd want to go over it with a Cultipacker, break up the clods. If you were using a food plot in a dusted area but didn't want it to wash and wanted your crop to come up quicker for your food plot then a Cultipacker is going to smooth it out, break up the clods, and leave grooved areas which will hold moisture and let your crop come up earlier and quicker and keep your ground stabilized so it doesn't wash in your areas for your food plots.
So we got our stands raised up. We're simply going to go over this red clay and give you an idea of what the grounds going to look like after you go over it with a Cultipacker. This has a two inch axle in it, huge, big pillow block bearings. This is about a thousand pound implement, so you got a lot of weight to do the work for you.
So this is leveling everything out, kind of packing it to some degree, especially down in the bottoms of these channels, leaving you an area where it's not going to wash as bad and leaving you a moisture spot for your, to hold-, hold moisture for your crop to start growing. Grass, anything like that it's going to really keep your ground stable, make it come up a lot faster. They also make a straw incorporator that goes behind that, so you would put your straw out first and then it has round disks that push the straw down into the ground to keep you from having to spray tar, something like that on it for washing.
We've got a 5 foot Cult packer on a 6 foot tracker because all we had was a 5 and a 7 in stock today and we didn't want to use a 7 because that really gets heavy on this small of a compact tracker.
So if we had a 6 foot Cultipacker, we wouldn't be leaving this tire print here, which really shouldn't be here.
So we're going to go back over the area that we used with the ripper, just push everything back into place. It wasn't really broken up and loose, but it's going to put everything back solid where it won't wash.

Hi, I'm Ted, from Everything Attachments. We're here today with our own brand of cultipacker. We've done a video before but it was with the Leinbach. It was very similar. It used to have Chinese-made wheels on them. I went to the trouble to have a little heavier wheel made in India instead of China, just to keep as much of the stuff from being built in China as I can. And I wanted to be able to have a little more control and add a little more weight to it.
This is a 15-inch total diameter wheel. As you can see, it's got our heavy duty, box plate-style A-frame on it, dual category one and two hitch. Everything is indexed to keep it straight. It is a quick-attach acceptable item. And we've made these neat kickstands for it so when you flip them over, you just set them down, they lock. When you pick them up, we'll show you how that works.
Peanut, go ahead and jump on there, we'll flip them up. These are on two-inch pillow block bearings, so it's real heavy duty. And you don't want to grease the wheels because the grease is just going to keep the dirt inside there. So you make sure the stands are all the way down, pull them up, push them back down, they're locked in place. It's that easy and we're done. So now it's a two-inch cold-rolled shaft instead of a hot-rolled shaft, so that means I can make my tolerances on the wheel a lot better.
Okay, so what I'm doing there, I'm just doing the side link. We had it sideways for the plow so it would stay straight. So now we've got it level. Okay, and what we're going to do is this is going to be a garden, but if this were a food plot before we finished planting here, if this were a food plot for deer and so forth, wildlife, you would probably go over it with a disc harrow or tiller lightly, just six or eight inches.
And then people use a cultipacker to do several things. It packs the ground where it's not real loose. Usually, hunting ground is not perfectly level and it'll wash. So this is going to put ridges in the ground. It's going to make the moisture collect in the bottom of the Vs, and it's going to pack it just a little bit and keep it from washing easily like it would be in the trails and stuff where you normally hunt.
It's also used to just simply bust these red clays, clods in fields and so forth. That's what it was really built for is to bust clods in fields before they came along with rotavators and everything from a long, long time ago. So it's good for a lot of things, including crimping your straw into the ground after you've seeded your yard, or just packing your ground in general to keep it from washing. So give it a path down through there where we hadn't been yet, Peanut.
So it just packs the ground down. It leaves the Vs in there. The moisture collects in the bottom of the grooves. It'll let your crop, like your different grains and stuff that you put out for the winter...rye and stuff come up a lot faster. If you're just generally broadcasting stuff for your food plots, it makes that come up better and stabilizes your soil.
If you're in a big field with mud clods, it'll bust those up where you don't have to continue with a tiller in a large field, which you just don't normally do. So that's what a cultipacker does. It's going to make all these grooves right here. They're about three inches deep.
