Tractor Land Grader - Land Plane
We have noticed that this tractor implement goes by many names. Here are a few that we have found used to name this attachment. Tractor Land Grader, Land Plane, Land Leveler, Tractor Utility Grader, and Road Grader all describe the same Tractor Attachment.
This 3 point attachment operate much differently than a box blade, so don't expect to be able to move a lot of dirt with this device. It is designed however to take out the high spots, and fill in the low spots with the two cutting edges that are angled between the two sides. This keeps the material that the tractor land plane is able to gather inside this area for even distribution to the low spots.
Another great benefit we discovered while demonstrating this unit is that the 3 point hitch land leveler does not need scarifers to loosen up packed surfaces before use. This is important because if you get the surface of a gravel road too loose or too deep with scarifers, then the road may wash considerably after a hard rain comes.
We were able to pull up gravel that had been packed beneath the surface which eliminated the need for us to go out and buy a load to spread on top. With the prices of gravel going up, this is a major plus if you already have plenty of gravel underneath that had built up from previous loads that had been put down like we did.
