Perfect choice ordering Wicked Root Grapple October 12, 2018
Reviewer: Dan Kolb from Hayden, ID United States
It wasn't 3 days of timber clearing when even my wife said that the new Wicked Root Grapple had paid for itself.  It has performed perfectly in clearing brush and we punished it even harder by picking up large boulders and placing them on the driveway.  Totally worth the money and the wait.  We have gotten  a proven piece of equipment and one of the best implements on the property.

Impressive versatility and strength October 5, 2018
Reviewer: Mike Rutkoskie from Danville, PA United States
It was worth the long wait!  The grapple is well designed and constructed.  It pairs very well with my Kubota L2900 w LA480 loader.  I thought it might be a bit small but after using it, I am pleased, because I can work it into tight spots and the lift capacity is awesome.  Minor cons are that the female connector collar on the hydraulic connector takes 2 men and a small boy to pull back to attach it to the 3rd function fitting.  My guess is they might have doubled up on the retaining spring?  The grease fitting on the front pin cannot be serviced with a standard grease gun nozzle.  EA Response:  Someone will contact about these concerns.  All grease fittings should be accessible with a standard grease gun.  Thanks for the business.

Root Grapple 50 September 27, 2018
Reviewer: Henry Herlong from Piedmont, SC United States
Am satisfied with grapple, but very dissatisfied with it taking 12 weeks to be delivered.   I paid in full in advance and was told delivery would be in 7-8 weeks not 12.   EA Response: The huge demand for our product forced lead times out longer than estimated for a certain time period, but we are taking care of the problem.  Improving lead times is something we are working toward. Our new larger manufacturing facility will be ready late summer, which will allow for more machines and people.  We apologize for the delay and inconvenience.  The delay lowering the rating is unfortunate because the product has been consistently rated over 2 stars, but we do understand your frustration.  We hate long lead times as much as our customers. Thanks for the business.

At least as good as I'd expected September 11, 2018
Reviewer: Mark Harmison from AMES, IA United States
The grapple certainly meets expectations. It fits properly, hydraulic couplers were as ordered, construction seems quite good. Shipping and delivery were as advertised.

No instruction manual included but what do you really need one for?

Two suggestions: First, make removal of the top much easier--this seems like a useful configuration and while it's not too hard it does take tools and a bit of time.

Second, the grease zerk on the outer cylinder pin is not accessible if your gun is fitted with a "Lube lock" attachment--a 45 degree zerk would be a nice touch.

Satisfied customer August 30, 2018
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Central, SC United States
The grapple was attached to a JD 1023E.  I have put ~15 h of use in with the grapple.  There is a learning curve if you have not used a grapple before; however, the grapple works really well.  I really like the design of the grapple and it appears to be tough.  I hope to get continued quality work out of it for years.  On the down side, I did not receive the grapple in the time frame initially promised.  It was about 2.5 months from order to receipt.  Also, they shipped it with the wrong hydraulic fittings.  EA Response: Thanks for the business. We try to determine if our couplers are compatible with each customer's tractor, but different dealers and mfgs. use various sizes and series of couplers and we can't keep them all. Some prefer for us to send our standard 1/2", which is the most common on the market to match, and some say leave them off and deduct a little. If we leave them off, our hose ends will be 3/8" NPT(pipe thread), so it's an easy install if you source locally.  If you request a particular size and it arrives with something different, just give us a call and we will send out the requested size.  Thanks for the business!
