Mini skid steer loaders or "mini loaders" are small walk behind skid steers that can perform many of the same tasks as regular skid steers, but on a much smaller scale. The benefits of these mini loaders are cost, storage, maintenance, and cost of attachments. Mini loaders have even been converted to remote controlled skid steers to get into small confined spaces or in areas not safe for humans to go.

If you have lots of trees or buildings on your property you might not be able to maneuver a full sized skid steer around into all of the tight places that would otherwise be unreachable. Mini loaders are so versatile in this way and can also keep your lawn intact instead of destroying like a full size skid steer would.

Mini loaders are also less expensive than a full size skid steer loader and the attachments are smaller which can further save money over buying the full size attachments for the full size skid steers. Additionally, mini loaders have universal quick attach adapters which allow you to use some full size attachments on a mini skid steer loader, that way you don't have to purchase two versions of your attachments if you plan on using a full size skid steer loader along with your mini loader.
