ETA 6900HD Tractor Post Hole Digger   Alternative Views:	ETA 6900 HD Tractor Post Hole Digger    The ETA 6900 HD Tractor Post Hole Digger is made with a strong tubular boom. This PHD is made for the full size and larger compact tractors, for use with up to 18" augers. The heavy duty gearbox has tapered roller bearings, which run in oil, the output shaft is 2" round. The heavier casing of the gearbox is designed not to use a guiding rod. The shielded, Class 4, Heavy Duty PTO shaft has shear bolt protection. The four-position boom allows for adjustment to fit most category 1, 3 point hitch tractors. The shear bolt can be a grade 2 or ungraded for up to 12" auger size, and if you choose to use an 18" auger, the grade 5 shear bolt is necessary for that much torque...  As for the attachment bolts which attach the auger to the output shaft of the gear box, no problem with any grade bolt there, you can use up to a grade 5 there as this is only attaching the auger and not a shear point, only a hookup or attachment point for the auger. ETA 6900HD awsome piece of equipment March 12, 2013 Reviewer: kubota dood from Sugarland, TX United States   Got this post hole digger couple months ago and have given my digger plenty of work before I reviewed. I have a kubota L3200 tractor and was a bit nervous going with a 12 inch wide 48inch long bit. Called talked to ted and he assured me my tractor could handle it....and it did. wow what a nice piece of equipment. It was not difficult to build and it works perfect....suggestion have a stand ready when you take it off or you will be hating life. Amazing January 28, 2013 Reviewer: Jackie Prewitt from Ocala, FL United States   Bought this to use with a "Stickler" Log splitter and we are so satisfied with the performance. The boom and gearbox are very heavy duty and sticking a 12 ft, 18"D log to move around is just another walk in the park. The auger bit (6") performs as stated and very quick. We will put a fence around our property in late summer. Finally! Buy this unit and you will be pleased. The price is right and free shipping ROCKS! Great piece of equipment March 10, 2012 Reviewer: Matthew A Jacobs from Arroyo Grande, CA United States   Finally reached the point in my project where I needed to use this piece of equipment and I was not anything but impressed. Went together within 30 mins (all the parts were even there) and it punched holes in my property with such ease I began to look for any reason to use it.   Need to order a few different size bits for it ASAP. Great Digger........ October 18, 2011 Reviewer: Bob Davidson from Ava, MO United States   this digger works great, unfortunately I experienced some issues with the UPS delivery and had some paint knocked off the unit, a ding or two, as well as packaging destroyed along their way. Not the fault of ETA and they did all they could to fix the issue. One note; the gear box did not arrive filled with lube as advertised, and also as advertised, its a good idea to check it first thing, fortunately I did and found it dry. Be real sure you check yours before using it.  Aside from these satellite issues the digger works great and ETA is great to work with.. Was this review helpful to you?

Super Drill October 11, 2011 Reviewer: Paul Knutson from Westfield, IN United States   I'm pretty green when it comes to agricultural equipment, but I am duly impressed by the quality of this tool.  It has put up with my discovering how to efficiently use it, resulting in the need to replace the shear bolt, and it has repeatedly punched through the tough Indiana clay as we enclosed our pastures.   Works well with a Kioti DS45 tractor.
