I received the gearbox hood in a timely fashion, when anticipated. The installation was seamless.

It is made of thick steel and the edges are smoothed.

I would buy again.

I literally had to unbolt the platic flower pot to grease the rear PTO shaft zerk and had to remove it to adjust the slipclutch.
Bought the EA hood and problem solved.
USPS did somehow manage to bend one of the hoods's tabs but I was able to straighten it well enough to function.

This is a sturdy cover that went on easily and stays put.  Servicing the clutch and that side of the pto shaft is now a breeze.

I installed this on a Woods RC5 mower.  The install was very easy.  My hang up was that the hood is a little to wide to clear the arms that go around the gear box.  The first time raising and lowering the mower bent the edges of the hood, so I guess its as custom fit!  This shouldn't have a negative effect on the function of the part, its just not as pretty.  It still better than the plastic shield that came with it.

Order was placed by telephone on June 16, 2025.

I did receive on June 28th from USPS this emailed message

Hello Postal Customer,
This is a reminder to pick up your item before July 7, 2025 or your item will be returned on July 8, 2025.

Since then I've made at least four in person visits to pick up the item (the latest attempt being today, July 8) without success.  Post office personnel have suggested it may be at a nearby larger city facility.

The Xtreme Gearbox Hood is great. Well made and great fit. Simple design that makes sense and makes it easy to grease PTO u-joints and adjust slip cluthes. EA sent it the day after I ordered it which was quicker than i thought it would be shipped. The U.S. Post office however, lost it for two weeks before they found it and got it to me. Had to file a lost mail claim.
