Installation: not trivial but no big deal. I don't have a step bit so I used 1/8, 1/4, .. bits, the hole wandered between steps so I filed it at the end until the bolt fit. Accurately measuring the bucket 9.5" back was hard. My bar showed up with a ~1/4" gap inside. Did I goof the measurement? Is this the built-in clearance? Didn't matter, I cinched the bolts down tight and it flexed enough to close the gap, no washer needed. There was a bow in either the bar or my bucket's edge so it didn't sit perfectly flush but close enough. I hammered one side down, bolted, clamped the other down as far as I could, bolted, and it's plenty snug.
Performance: I can't compare to other tooth bars bc this is my first one. But man the improvement over the straight flat edge of a stock bucket is night & day. Dug one big hole with it, dug out the side of another hill & back dragged to level some dirt and it's still fastened tight, the edge is still sharp, and it's still going strong. Love it.
