This extended quick hitch top hook is made out of grade 50 steel and measures 1 1/8" thick. Use this for implements that need up to a 1/4" more room to work well with your quick hitch.

We abuse our 3pt quick attach, in every sense of the word. It's one of the Harbor Freight Haul Masters and the hook is always a little weird. This makes it so our quick attach can be used on every implement we have! More than I can count. The hook is absolutely worth it, very well built. Usually the hook is worn out with the rest of the attachment so I buy a new one every time we replace the quick hitch. In another few years, I'll be back for another!

5 of 5 Most everyone has a harbor freight hook October 7, 2025

When I bought my John Deere tractor, they asked me if I wanted a I match. they explained what it did, so I agreed to buy one. The top hook on a John Deere I match is 1 inch in diameter. The harbor freight I match uses a top hook that is almost an inch and a quarter. I found a hook at boldon hooks.com that is just like yours, except it is 1 inch wide. It’s made for the John Deere I match

I’ve purchased a few implements for my compact tractor in the past and could not be happier. But this extended hook does not meet the quality I expected. To start, it’s not solid steel it’s made with 5/8 and 1/2 steel plug welded together. The hook I bought has a 1/32 gap around the perimeter where the two metals meet. Also, I had to clean up the bolt holes with drill bit. I wish this construction type was advised in the product description. I would prefer a solid steel hook like some of the competitors instead of two pieces of steel plug welded with gaps around the perimeter. Great implements, not a great extended hook.
